Battle of the Bands

Leucadia 101 Mainstreet Association is pleased to announce its Annual Battle of the Bands will be held Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Seaweed and Gravel, 1144 N. Coast Highway 101 in Encinitas. This event is a competition for local youth bands, and the winning band gets to perform at the Summer Fun on the 101, a mini music festival, June 24, 2023.

All musicians must be of high school age or younger to participate. The event is free to attend as a spectator. The band entry fee is $30. Bands can reserve a spot by contacting whitney@leucadia101.com

A portion of the proceeds from the Summer Fun on the 101 helps fund scholarships for two graduating seniors at San Dieguito Academy pursuing musical studies.

The Leucadia 101 Mainstreet Association is a nonprofit community-based organization that works in partnership with its neighborhood, business owners, property owners, the City of Encinitas and the County of San Diego to preserve and revitalize the Leucadia North Coast Highway 101 Corridor. The nonprofit offers a variety of events each year aimed at creating a unique atmosphere for its residents to explore the community and stimulate the local economy. Leucadia 101 Mainstreet is celebrating 20 years as a mainstreet association this year and would love the community's support and event attendance!
